Oconomowoc Public Library

IWow! What a way to end 2016. I was honored to have my design chosen to grace the entrance walls of my hometown library. Painting publicly for just over two weeks was a rewarding experience. Many of the library visitors stopped, watched and asked questions about my process, coming back several times a week just to see the progress I made. I enjoyed sharing my experience as an artist.
Watch for a live video of my painting process.

Animals in Our Midst

Diligently working on the next exhibition "Animals in Our Midst". Capturing the impact that animals have in our lives. Exhibit runs July 16-September 17, 2016 at the Oconomowoc Atts Center.

Murals are transformative!

Murals can bring elements of a room together. Creating a cohesiveness with the furniture, accentuating the shape of a room, setting the tone and ambience. Check out these terrific examples.

Works in progress...

A sneak peak at murals 2 and 3...

Here's Summit Elementary Schools mural hung in the cafeteria.  Over 400 kids worked on this mural depicting animals, places and our landscape! What a terrific collaboration! Artist in Resident at Summit School.

Silver Lake Intermediate School Artist In Resident

Honored to have been asked to lead this mural project honoring the poem of Courtney Bella made possible by the "Imagine A Day" foundation. This 5 panel mural will be part of the new outdoor theatre at Silver Lake School. Follow our progress!

Here's the 1st of 5. We approached the first mural by exploring the design and meditative qualities of Zentangle along with The Pop artist Jim Dine. What a cool combination for the kids to work with. The children came up with this spectacular piece which measures 7 ft x 7ft!

Courtney was in 4th grade when she wrote this. The first stanza is:

Imagine a day ...
When the beating of your heart
And your voice
Is all you hear.

Artist in Resident!

This was a lot of fun, working with over 400 kids at Summit Elementary School on a 20 ft. X 5 ft. mural. I was contacted by the fabulous Jill LaGrange Art Teacher and asked to design and work with the kids on a mural. We had 4k -  4th grade all adding their special touches to the group mural. I sketched it out on Monday and by Friday we we're finished!

Not a mural but...

This was such an honor to have been chosen to design two statues along the bike path at Fox Run! A corporate sponsored art project!

New Paddle Board shop!

With all the wonderful lakes around here Boards & More is going to do great. I love a the beautiful colors the paddleboards come in. I definitely want to try this! Here's what I did for the owner to get a little more attention!

The Doggie Bag

Dogs and people love this Oconomowoc treasure. Homemade treats are the speciality of the house so I created a mural with the dogs doing all the baking!

Painting the town!

Added a few murals this past Spring and Summer.  This one for Zachariah's Acres was a donation to this family friendly nature experience for children with special needs. My friend Jackie helped me creat this one!

30 Paintings, 30 Days.

This is my second year doing a 30 day painting challenge, creating a piece each day and posting it on my FB page Anne Raskopf-Fine Art and Murals and my website www.anneraskopf.com
Here's a sample of this years work all from a recent trip to Paris.

Love to travel? This mural was created in a dining room on the ceiling for a family that enjoys the adventure of travel.
